Reception Of The Habit

Jenna Jones received the habit and her new religious name, Sister Mary Ruth on August 1st at the Motherhouse of the School Sisters of Christ the King. She has just begun the first year of a two year novitiate.

Sister Mary Ruth is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cory Jones of Saints Anne and Joachim Parish in Fargo, North Dakota. Sister has two siblings. She is a 2002 graduate of Fargo South High School. She attended North Dakota State University before entering the community in 2007.

Rose Walsh received the habit and her new religious name, Sister Mary Veronica on August 1st at the Motherhouse of the School Sisters of Christ the King. She has just begun the first year of a two year novitiate.

Sister Mary Veronica is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Walsh of Saint Mary Parish in Elmwood, Nebraska. Sister is the oldest of four children. She is a 2005 graduate of Holy Angels Homeschool. She attended Southeast Community College before entering the community in January 2008.
Final Professions

Final Profession
Sister Mary Catherine of the School Sisters of Christ the King made her Final Profession of Vows at the Cathedral on August 3rd. Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz was the main celebrant of the Mass.

Sister Mary Catherine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bykerk of Sacred Heart Parish in Burwell, Nebraska. She is a graduate of Loup County High School, and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln before entering the c ommunity in 1998. She has taught at St. Joseph, St. James and is currently assigned as the sixth grade teacher at St. Peter School.

Sister Edith Marie of the School Sisters of Christ the King made her Final Profession of Vows at the Cathedral on August 3rd. Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz was the main celebrant of the Mass.

Sister Edith Marie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ehlers of Saint Mary Parish in Leigh, Nebraska. She is a graduate of Leigh High School, and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Southeast Community College before entering the community in 1999. She has taught at St. Vincent and is currently assigned as the second grade Religion teacher and Spiritual Life Coordinator at St. Joseph School.
